Calan Watts is a South African-born singer-songwriter based in regional Victoria and working in Melbourne. By day, he’s an Operations Manager—but his true passion lies in music. His love for music, family, and life flows through his lyrics, telling heartfelt stories wrapped in timeless melodies.

Rooted in indie-folk, Calan isn’t afraid to push boundaries. Tracks like Falling in Love and Light of Day blend modern synths and house influences, adding a fresh, contemporary edge to his signature sound.

Inspired by legends like Johnny Cash, Paul Simon, and Syd Kitchen, Calan honours these influences while infusing them with youthful energy and a modern twist.

His live performances are vibey, upbeat, and unique—featuring warm vocals accompanied by acoustic guitar, kick drum, and occasionally some gentle harmonica.

Calan is currently working on an upcoming album, which will include fan favourites Love Me and African Sky, both of which have received extensive radio play in South Africa. His latest single, Carry Me Home, has been praised as some of his best work yet, resonating deeply with listeners.
